The American Corner of IAIN North Sumatera (IAIN-SU) is located on the third floor of IAIN-SU Library. It is a partnership program between the Public Affairs Office of the Embassy of the United States of America in Indonesia and the State Institute for Islamic Studies IAIN-SU, Indonesia. It provides accurate and timely information about the United States to the general public of Indonesia, especially those living around Medan Municipality. The Corner is small, an American-style library created to help increase
mutual understanding between Indonesia and the United States by making
available information about America in a variety of formats. The
"American Corner" is fully managed and operated by IAIN-SU with
programmatic support from the U.S. Embassy. It provides a venue for guest
U.S. speakers, meetings with students and English Language teachers. Above all, however, be sure to visit the American Center or Corner
nearest you!.
