Corner Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Resources
UMY Yogyakarta American Corner is the first place to
visit when you have questions about the United States. Our goal is to
provide general, substantive, and accurate information about the
United States to UMY community and to people living around Yogyakarta area. Materials in the American Corner cover almost all subject about
the United States, its policies, society, education, and culture and
provide open access to all materials.
BOOKS: 1068 titles and also available 39 translation books in bahasa Indonesia are now available and more books will be added from now. Collection includes reference, biography, English teaching, U.S. History, fictions, arts & literature, business, government and travel books.
CD-ROMs: 27 titles varieties of topics are available: American History, American Presidents, Career Discovery, Government on File, Thomas Register, Women in History, Encyclopedia Britannica, etc.
DVDs: 20 titles are available. Titles include movies selected from 100 greatest American films and Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) educational videos.
PERIODICALS/PAMPHLETS: 20 titles of journals and magazines. Visitors can get a free copy for pamphlet/publications are published by Department of State, International Information Programs. Example: E-journals
ONLINE DATABASE: UMY Yogyakarta American Corner also provides the commercial online database known as EBSCOhost MasterFILE ELITE. This database online provides full text for more than 1,151 general reference, business, consumer health, general science, and multi-cultural periodicals. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for over 1,183 periodicals. Cumulative full text for over 1,183 periodicals dating as far back as 1985. · 88,000 biographies, 76,000 primary source documents, 116,000 Images. This database is updated daily

The system for American corner is open access for users and system for services is semi self services so after user find a resources that they desire, user can photo copying or printing by them self, of course our librarian staff would be happy to help if user have a problem.
