What the Embassy Cannot Do

NOTARIAL SERVICES

The American Citizens Services Section of the Embassy provides various notarial services. The fee for related notarized documents is USD 30 (subject to change) for the first notarial seal and USD 20 (subject to change) for each additional seal.  A photo ID with signature is required to perform any notarial service.

Please note that if a witness is required, you will need to bring someone with proper identification.  Consular staff cannot serve as witness.  All blank spaces (other than for signatures) must be adequately filled in before the document(s) are brought in to be notarized.  Documents with blanks or missing materials referenced in the text cannot be notarized.

Please bring the following to the American Service Unit at the Embassy when you request notary services:


  1. The document to be notarized, including attachments, if any.
  2. Your passport and one other photo identification.
  3. Witness, if required.
  4. USD 30 (subject to change) or the equivalent in Indonesian Rupiah for the first seal, and USD 20 (subject to change) for each additional seal provided at the same time in connection with the same transaction. Fees must be paid in cash.
