The U.S. Embassy in Jakarta is seeking an individual for the position of Chauffeur in the Naval Medical Research Unit 2 (NAMRU2) Jakarta.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:

The Incumbent operates automotive vehicles to transport passenger or cargo. Ensures vehicles are maintained, clean and presentable condition. Promptly reports any mechanical defect of vehicle to dispatcher. Assures repairs and preventive maintenance of vehicle is scheduled and accomplished. Maintains accurate and completes trip tickets.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

1. Completion of Junior High School is required.

2. Minimum one (1) year experience as a professional driver with knowledge in transporting passengers is required.

3. Level II (limited knowledge) in speaking/reading/writing English and fluency in Bahasa is required.

4. Must be knowledgeable of main streets in Jakarta and surrounding areas.

5. Must have the ability to operates all types of vehicles under 3 tons including jeeps, carryalls, sedans, station wagons, pickup trucks and panel trucks. Must possess a valid Indonesian driver’s license (SIM-B1) and have the ability to load and unload.
