The U.S. Embassy in Jakarta is seeking an individual for the position of Database Manager in the Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) influenza Division.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
The incumbent will serve as the database manager for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention influenza Division. Incumbent will work with grantees to consolidate and assist in the management of surveillance data related to various cooperative agreements between the US CDC and Ministry of Health in Indonesia. The incumbent will assist with development of a database program to manage infectious disease surveillance data and assist with training installation and training of MOH counterparts on use of this software.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
1. Bachelor‘s degree in Management Information System with basic programming knowledge is required.
2. Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in preparing and maintaining database is required.
3. Level III (good working knowledge) in speaking/reading/writing in English and Level IV (fluent) in Bahasa is required.
4. Must have advanced working knowledge of database software such as Microsoft Access, MSDE, and SQL. Must have sound knowledge in statistical software such as epi-info, STATA, information technology, biology or medical terminology.
5. Must possess skills in organizing data, analyzing data, preparing spreadsheet, reports, graphics and presentations.
6. Must display excellent interpersonal skills in dealing or working with personnel from variety of cultures within CDC and other institution.
