BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
Perform a variety of office support and
para-professional work in assisting with the work of the Human Resources
Office.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
NOTE: All
applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific
and comprehensive information supporting each item.
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Management,
Business Administration, Social Science, or related field is required.
2. At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources or
administration with a minimum of 1 year in a U.S. Embassy setting is required.
3. WebPass, Cable Express, Employee Express, TSP Website,
Web Gram, Clout, Time/Attendance, Travel Manager and other training as relevant
to the section is required.
4. Level 4 (fluency) in Speaking/Reading/Writing English is
required.
5. Incumbent must be familiar with structure of the US
Mission and responsibilities of individual offices. Incumbent will have a general knowledge of
Federal Government Human Resources policies and procedures and specific
knowledge of the Employee Evaluation Review system.Must be a quick learner,
able to adapt. Proficient with Microsoft
Office and other computer programs used by US Mission. Requires strong organizational skills and the
ability to coordinate projects. Should
be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with individuals
on both the functional and executive levels.
ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of
interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees serving a probationary period are
not eligible to apply.
3. Currently employed US Citizen EFMs who hold a Family
Member Appointment (FMA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions
within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
4. Currently employed NORs
hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for
advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually
Employed (WAE) work schedule.
5. The candidate
must be able to obtain and retain a TS security clearance.
