The U.S. Embassy in Jakarta is seeking an individual for the position of Public Health Administration Assistant in the Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC).

 

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:

 

The incumbent will act as a program manager for all Department of Defense/President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (DOD/PEPFAR) activities in support of the Indonesian Defense Forces HIV/AIDS Prevention Program. S/He will act as the primary representative for the DOD/PEPFAR program. The program manager will jointly lead, guide, and supervise all HIV program activities in coordination with Indonesian Defense Force officials and other U.S. Government and Indonesian HIV/AIDS representatives.

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

1.      A minimum of 2 (two) years of university studies in or a combination of accounting, liberal arts, management, health, business, administration or social science or related field is required.

2.      At least 2 (two) years development experience or program management is required.

3.      Level IV (Fluent) in speaking/reading/writing/editing in English and fluency in Bahasa Indonesian is required.

4.      Must have program management skills, including experience in managing budgets and expenditures, schedules, and project implementation.

5.      Must have computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel and Power Point), and the internet.

6.      Must be able to travel outside of Jakarta at least once a month, and must possess current local driver’s license (SIM A).
