The U.S. Embassy in Jakarta is seeking an individual for the position of Secretary in the GSO/Transportation Office.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
The incumbent serves as Secretary to the Transportation Officer and Administrative Assistant for the Shipment Supervisor/Transportation Section; Time and Attendant Keeper for Transportation and Motor Pool. S/He reviews and verifies invoices from shipping contractors, maintains and updates Transportation web page and acts as back up secretary to Supervisory GSO.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
1. High school education is required.
2. At least one (1) year experience as a secretary or office manager is required.
3. Level III (good working knowledge) in speaking/reading/writing both in English and Bahasa is required.
4. Must have general knowledge of the shipping operations, export/import processing procedures and procedures for tracking shipments, able to type and use Personal Computer with Windows 2000 office applications and Microsoft Front Page, and able to perform simple maintenance on office copier and fax machine.
5. Must be able to organize and prioritize workload, good disposition and tactful, and effective in dealing with government officials.
