Given the recent and large amount of media reporting and rumors
concerning avian influenza ("avian flu," "bird

including suggested precautions, is available on the Embassy's website
at http://jakarta.usembassy.gov
under the tab "More on Bird Flu." The Embassy encourages all
Americans to read the "Questions and Answers about Avian
Flu" and the August 3, 2005 Fact Sheet on Avian Flu from the U.S.
Department of State. The Embassy website includes a link to U.S.
Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The Embassy urges all Americans in
Indonesia to monitor these websites regularly for current and accurate
information.
