U.S. Government Signs Agreement to Provide Helicopters to Indonesia

U.S. Ambassador Cameron R. Hume (right) stands with Sahala Lumban Gaol (center), the Deputy Minister of State Owned Company (BUMN), and with Budi Santoso (left), the President Director of PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), at a signing ceremony at the Ministry of State Owned Enterprises.   U.S. Ambassador Hume signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with BUMN, PTDI, and Bell Helicopter which will provide the framework for PTDI and Bell Helicopter to work together to supply up to 22 Bell 412EP helicopters to various government agencies in Indonesia.  The cooperation would involve the completion and customization of the helicopters in Indonesia to meet local work content requirements of the Government of Indonesia.
