U.S. Government Helps Jakarta Court Launch New Management System Jakarta, March 23 – The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) assisted the Central Jakarta District Court to launch the Court’s new automated case management system as part of an overall effort to increase efficiency and public access to information. The case management system, developed by USAID’s Indonesia Anticorruption and Commercial Court Enhancement (In-ACCE) Project, automates traffic, civil and criminal cases, and makes information available to the public through the court’s new website and public information desk. The In-ACCE Project was developed in cooperation with Indonesia’s Supreme Court. “It is hoped that with the implementation of the automated system public expectations of the judiciary to provide justice and legal certainty may be fulfilled,” said the Central Jakarta District Court Chief Judge Andriani Nurdin during the launch. During
today’s launch, Supreme Court members and local and national government
officials viewed how the case management system works in the civil and
criminal registries. They also viewed the new public information
desk, located in the front lobby of the Central Jakarta District Court.
The public information desk includes LCD
screens that display up-to-date case information on
hearing times and locations, and computer
kiosks where case information can be obtained via the court’s website.
