September 25, 2009 U.S. Health Secretary Hosts Indonesian Minister of Health

Washington – U.S. Secretary of the
Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Kathleen Sebelius
hosted Indonesian Minister of Health Dr. Siti Fadilah Supari
recently in Washington. The two leaders discussed deepening
cooperation on public health, biomedical science and clinical
research between the U.S. and Indonesia. Representatives from
public health and research directorates within the Ministry of
Health conferred with their HHS counterparts from the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes for Health
and the Office of Global Health Affairs. Secretary Sebelius
and Minister Supari released a joint statement about plans to
intensify health cooperation within the context of a comprehensive
partnership. |
