The United States Embassy expresses our deepest sympathy to the victims, their families, and the people of Indonesia who have once again been struck by senseless violence on the island of Bali. The United States stands with the people and government of Indonesia as they work to bring those responsible for this cowardly act of terror to justice. We will continue to work closely with our Indonesian friends in our common struggle against terrorist violence, and we are ready to assist in any way we can.

The United States Embassy announced today that the Embassy is contributing US$50,000 through the Indonesian Red Cross to the hospitals that have been involved in providing emergency assistance in Bali.
